Repair Program

The Rutherford Housing Partnership repair program works throughout Rutherford County, NC, to help low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners receive urgent home repairs. RHP provides materials and volunteers provide the labor.

The focus of these repairs should address safety, accessibility and critical repairs. By helping low-income homeowners receive affordable or no-cost home repairs, RHP is helping to preserve housing throughout Rutherford County.

A new entry means safety

Blessed. That is the word Mr. Travis Shade, a Navy Veteran living in Ellenboro, North Carolina,  uses when he talks about the new, deck and stairs built for his home. Thanks to the volunteers from Carolina Cross Connection, Mr. Shade and his family now have a safe entry into their home along with room to sit and play outside. "The group was very professional and very courteous," Mr. Shade said, clearly smiling behind his mask. "Everything they said they were going to do, they did it in a timely fashion. It just helps me out beyond words."
