Urgent Repair Program ‘23

Applications accepted for Urgent Repair Program

Rutherford County has been approved for funding from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) through its Urgent Repair Program ‘23 (URP23). The funding will provide urgently needed home repairs for low-income homeowners with special needs in Rutherford County. The goals of the program are:

●        To alleviate housing conditions which pose an imminent threat to the life or safety of very low-income homeowners with special needs; and,

●        To provide accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to prevent displacement of very low-income homeowners with special needs such as the frail elderly and persons with disabilities.

The repairs will be administered by Rutherford Housing Partnership (RHP), a local nonprofit that provides urgently needed repairs to qualified low-income homeowners. Homeowners who wish to apply for preliminary URP23 assistance may do so by September 30, 2024. Applications for assistance can be acquired in one of three ways:

●        Pick up an application from the clear box at the RHP office front:  718 W. Main St. Forest City NC 28043

●        Email Rutherford Housing Partnership at info@rhpwnc.org

●        Call 828-248-3431 ext.100 and leave your name and mailing address.

 

All applications currently on the Rutherford Housing Partnership waiting list will automatically be ranked and considered for assistance. This program was sponsored by Rutherford County, with funds provided by the N.C. Housing Trust Fund.
