In response to recent disaster Hurricane Helene, RHP has mobilized quickly to support our community. Our efforts have included:
Coordinating emergency response resourcesProviding direct assistance to households
Partnering with local agencies and organizations
Connecting residents to housing, food, and essential services
We work closely with community partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response that addresses both immediate and ongoing needs.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far
Since the onset of recent disaster Hurricane Helene, RHP has:
Assisted 26 households with recovery support impacting 34 individuals
Total repairs completed: 43
Assisted Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity with 3 total home rebuilds.
This has allowed RHP to:
Help stabilize families facing displacement
Strengthen partnerships with local and regional organizations
Expand access to critical resources for vulnerable populations
Our focus remains on ensuring no one is left behind in the recovery process.
Disaster recovery extends far beyond the initial emergency response. True recovery is a long-term process centered on helping individuals and communities rebuild in ways that are both sustainable and resilient. This includes restoring safe housing, rebuilding critical infrastructure, improving financial preparedness, and supporting lasting economic stability.
Recovery efforts can take months or even years depending on the scope of the disaster, and they require strong collaboration across organizations and community partners.
RHP plays an active role in long-term recovery by:
Supporting housing recovery, stability, and resilience, including guidance on homeowners’ insurance, navigating claims, and reducing future risk
Providing education on disaster preparedness, financial literacy, and maintaining safe, insurable homes
Assisting with case management and connecting individuals to available resources
Participating in long-term recovery groups and community coalitions
Advocating for fair and equitable access to recovery support
We are committed to standing with our community at every stage of the recovery journey from immediate relief to long-term rebuilding while equipping homeowners with the knowledge and tools they need to better prepare for future disasters.
