Pathway to Homeownership

Your Path to Home Starts Here.

Homeownership can feel overwhelming, especially when you aren't sure where to begin. Rutherford Housing Partnership's Pathway to Homeownership is designed to help individuals and families understand their options, connect with the right resources, and take the next step toward owning a home.

Whether you rent from RHP, rent somewhere else, are looking for an affordable homeownership opportunity, or want to explore a traditional mortgage, you don't have to figure it out on your own.

Start with RHP. We'll help connect you to the resource you need.

Rent.

Purchase.

Home.

Connect.

Prepare.

Where Are You Starting?

There isn't one path to homeownership. Tell us where you are today, and we'll help you explore what comes next.

How Does the Pathway Work?

Connect & Assess.

Complete our Pathway to Homeownership Interest Form and tell us about your current housing situation and your homeownership goals.

We'll review the information you provide to better understand where you are in the homeownership process and what resources may be appropriate.

Prepare, Connect & Apply

Depending on your situation, your next steps may include financial education, improving credit, budgeting, saving, gathering documentation, or speaking with a lender.

When appropriate, we'll connect you with an RHP opportunity, a participating lender, Gateway Wellness Foundation, Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity, or another community resource.

Work Toward Homeownership

Your pathway may lead to an RHP-built home, a partner homeownership program, or purchasing a home using traditional financing.

Every pathway is different. The important part is knowing where to start.

  • "A house is made with walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams."

    —Ralph Waldo Emerson
